The concept of justice
In the Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle focuses on justice and everything related to it. It is no coincidence that the distinction of powers in political systems has its basis in this work. Law is distinguished into distributive, corrective and reciprocity law. Aristotle also refers to “on natural and positive (or legal) law”, where the latter is a product of human initiative and is expressed through laws, while the former is unwritten and self-evident. According to Aristotle, in the battle between justice and injustice, a central virtue is leniency, which should guide us in dealing with any contradictions or gaps in positive law.
